Filmmaker Justin Hannah to appear as a guest on Trivial Thursdays with Mick Jeffries

Justin Hannah, the writer and director of the award-winning film "Consignment," will appear Thursday, January 9 on Trivial Thursdays, an excellent long-running radio show on WRFL 88.1 FM, the University of Kentucky's independent radio station. The program is hosted by Mick Jeffries, a popular Lexington DJ, writer, photographer, and graphic designer, and is broadcast live from 7:00 to 9:00 am every Thursday morning.

Trivial Thursdays is a college radio version of a morning drive-time show, complete with lots of talking, laughing, and music, that loosely revolves around the trivia of that date in history. The show features different guests each week, typically people doing exciting things in the Lexington area.

Justin will be talking with Mick about "Consignment," his filmmaking influences, and the upcoming "Unscripted" indie film series, which begins January 11 and runs through February 22. Also, with the recent passing of Phil Everly on January 3, the music of the Everly Brothers will also be a big topic of discussion (both Mick and Justin are huge fans of the Kentucky duo).

The other guests on the January 9 show are Eames Demetrios speaking about the Kcymaerxthaere storytelling experience, and Shawn Burns of the Lexington Calendar Project.

"Consignment" is a stylish period drama written and directed by Justin Hannah, starring Abbra Smallwood, Margaret Wuertz, Jake Gilliam and Jessica McGill, with cinematography by Lee Clements and music by Robert Casal.

Described in reviews as "an alluring, multi-layered film experience" and "a beautifully realized, thought provoking short film," the movie has drawn comparisons to Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch. "Consignment" won awards for Best Cinematography at the 2015 Blaquefyre Independent Film Festival, Best Kentucky Short at the 2014 Autumn Shorts Film Festival, Best Short Film at the 2013 World Independent Film Expo, and Most Original Film at the 2013 Floyd Film Festival.

Justin Hannah's "Consignment" is now available for instant streaming on Hulu and Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, Vimeo On Demand, and IndieFlix.
